Prof. Yves Panis's lecture was entitled "New Paradigms in Low Rectal Cancer Management." By sharing the observation data of previous patients, he indicated that there must be new methods like TME to assist the treatment before TNT.

The topic of Prof. Dr. Med. Rudolf Ott's lecture was "Association Between Surgical Technical Skill and Long-term Survival for Colorectal Cancer." He said that doctors’ surgical techniques could indeed affect the long-term survival of patients, such as accurate determination of tumor location and scope, deep learning laparoscopic use methods, etc.
After the presentation, the three doctors discussed such topics as ‘the local recurrence of TATME,’ ‘the importance of selecting appropriate medical devices,’ ‘artificial coloanal anastomosis,’ and ‘temporary stomy and other new paradigms.’
