Ezisurg European Colorectal Webinar Series-1st Episode

Innovative technologies in colorectal surgery 

On September 22nd, the 1st episode of Ezisurg European Colorectal Webinar Series was successfully held, attracting more than 5400 participants joining online.  

Tarek Youssef, Professor of Colorectal Surgery and CEO of El Demerdash Hospital, Egypt, was invited to chair the webinar. Four internationally renowned speakers were invited: Andreas Shamiyeh, Head of General and Visceral Surgery at the Kepler University Hospital, Austria; Mourad Abid, Head of Oncology Surgery Department, Batna Anti Cancer Center, Batna, Algeria, Leon Maggiori, Professor of Surgery, MD. Ph.D. Service de Chirurgie Digestive, Oncologique, et Endocrinienne (Pr P. Cattan) Hôpital St Louis (France), and Mohamed Ben Amar MD FACS, Professor in general surgery faculty of Medicine of SFAX TUNISIA.  

This conference aims to promote the exchange and cooperation between international experts and scholars in colorectal surgery; showcase the cutting-edge surgical methods and essential progress in this field. Combined with the webinar theme, Ezisurg Medical has the honor to invite influential experts worldwide as speakers, presenting an audio-visual feast for the audience.

 

 

Prof. Andreas Shamiyeh gave the presentation

Prof. Andreas Shamiyeh's lecture is entitled "Innovation in Colorectal Surgery". Taking his previous patients' surgical cases as examples, he emphasized the importance of choosing a stapler that can help reduce anastomotic leakage and better wound healing. 

  

Prof. Mourad Abid gave a lecture

Prof.Mourad Abid's topic was "TaTME for low and mid rectal adenocarcinoma; how we do it?" He introduced to us the history of rectal cancer and shared TaTME surgery and its application.

  
  
 
 

Prof. Léon Maggiori gave the keynote presentation

Prof. Leon Maggiori's presentation was on " How can we improve functional results following rectal cancer surgery?" He suggested that surgeons minimize nerve injury and sphincter injury, optimize pouch surgery, or perform more complex management.

  


 Prof. Mohamed Ben Amar MD FACS gave the keynote presentation

Prof. Mohamed Ben Amar MD FACS presented on the topic "Can we reduce the rate of anastomotic leak in the surgery of rectal cancer?" Yes, he concluded, but only with adequate preoperative instrumentation, good blood supply and clotting. 

 

During the discussion, five experts exchanged opinions and answered questions on lateral mechanical anastomosis, treatment of low anastomosis and ileum stoma drainage, and thanked Ezisurg Medical for providing the platform for the exchange. 

The first academic event of "Ezisurg Medical European Colorectal Live Conference Series"was a complete success. After the conference, many experts and scholars expressed their gratitude for participating in international academic exchanges. Professor Andreas Shamiyeh highly praised the content of the meeting, believing that the conference has laid a good start, and expressed his expectation for the holding of the following "Easy Medical European Colorectal Live Streaming Conference". At present, Ezisurg Medical is working with relevant conference experts to start preparations for the next academic event.
 


Ezisurg French Colorectal Webinar Review

Innovative technologies in colorectal surgery

On September 25, 2021, colorectal surgery webinar covering French-speaking countries was successfully held. The conference invited six well-known doctors from the French-speaking region, like France, Maroc, Algérie, and Tunisie, to share and discuss their academic progress and practical experience in colorectal cancer. It successfully attracted more than 6,800 participants and presented a wonderful audio-visual feast with great benefits for the audience. 

Ezisurg Medical hopes to help improve the minimally invasive technology in colorectal surgery by promoting the exchange of colorectal surgery concepts, sharing experience, and complementing each other, to bring good news to more patients in French-speaking countries.
